Bradburn Brief December 2019
Holiday Season and Cityology
Dear Sandy Resident,
The best present we can receive during the holiday season is the opportunity to serve our families, friends, and neighbors. It gives us the time to slow down and spend energy on the things that truly matter. It also allows us to turn our focus to the good in one another. You may be tired of the negative discourse that seems to pervade our daily lives but we can take time this holiday season to look for the things that bind us instead of divide. I truly believe that at the root is a desire to make our communities a better place and working together we can achieve that goal.
In the spirit of looking for the good, I am excited about our new video series called “Cityology”. These videos give you a behind the scenes look at the amazing women and men who work at the city and keep it running smoothly. I think you will find these individuals have dedicated their careers to service and on a daily basis look for ways to make the lives of our residents better. You can find those videos on the Sandy City’s YouTube channel. I think you will gain a new respect for all of the hard work that goes into providing the services you receive from Sandy City.
I am also excited to announce the Sandy Police Department will now have two dedicated park and trail officers. Our vast trails and parks are what makes Sandy a great place to live and represents a significant investment by taxpayers. It is extremely important that everyone feels safe in these areas and can enjoy them to their fullest. You will see Officers Jake Olsen and Graham Tinius out on the trails so please take a minute to say hello!
Lastly, please remember that you can always connect with us to get more information by going to our City websites sandy.utah.gov and SandyNow.com and by accessing our social media channels @SandyCityUtah on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and @sandycityut on YouTube for daily updated information. You can also send me an email directly at email@example.com.
Thank you for allowing me to serve you.
Mayor Kurt Bradburn
